Can I place an order over the phone?
Yes! If you would like to place an order over the phone, simply give us a call at 239-596-5996.
Do I need an appointment if I am ordering a wedding cake?
Yes. Mikkelsen’s Pastry Shop stays busy year-around, and we want to make sure we set aside plenty of time to help you plan the perfect cake for your special day. Appointments are available Monday – Friday between the hours of 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM. To set an appointment, call our shop at 239-596-5996 or send an e-mail to cakes@mikkelsenspastryshop.com.
When is the best time to place an order?
Weekdays are always the best time to place an order, as Saturdays are our busiest day.
Do you do complimentary tastings?
We offer a complimentary tasting of up to 3 selections for wedding cake customers.
Are you open Sundays?
Our pastry shop is closed on Sundays. However, we are open Monday through Saturday (November to April) and Tuesday through Saturday (May to October) from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
What payments do you accept?
Mikkelsen’s pastry shop accepts both cash and check, no credit cards.
Do you make specialty cakes?
We are happy to create specialty cakes for clients within a reasonable time frame. However, we do not accept orders near major holidays, such as Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years due to the sheer volume of orders we must fill during those times.
Do you have ready made cakes for pick-up?
When ever possible we have an assortment of ready made 6 inch cakes. If you wish to purchase one these cakes please call ahead to make sure we have cakes available.
How far ahead should I place my order?
We request that our customers place an order at least 24 hours ahead of time, unless it’s near the holidays or for specially decorated cakes, in which case we require at least a week’s notice. It is never too early to order your cake.
Do you make vegan items?
Unfortunately, we do not bake and sell vegan items in our shop.
Do you deliver?
Schedule permitting we do, for a $50 charge, our staff will deliver your order to any location within Naples or Bonita Springs. Call for rates out if Naples or Bonita Springs.
Is there an order minimum?
For most items, we do not require an order minimum. However, there are a few items on our menu where we do have to make an exception. If you aren’t sure about an order, then give us a call! We’re happy to answer any questions.
What are your hours?
Our pastry shop is open Monday through Saturday from November to April from 8 AM to 5 PM except on Mondays when we open at 10 AM. We are open Tuesday through Saturday from May to October from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Mikkelsen’s Pastry Shop is also closed on all major holidays.
Scheduling your pickup.
We try to accommodate your pickup times by completing your order as close to the requested pickup time as possible so that your order is as fresh as possible. So if you decide to come in early to pick up your order, it may not be ready. Later pickups are not a problem.
